"Who
is Craig Stanford?"
Please read the following bio...
I was born, raised,
and still live near Portland,OR. I received a
degree in business from Oregon State University in 1974. I was in the
retail furniture business for a number of years and then found that I
liked being self-employed in the outdoor advertising business.
I started skiing
when I was six years old. In high school I was on the
ski racing team. As a teenager, I thought that if you couldn't
go skiing in a place, then it wasn't really a vacation spot.
.
Ever since I was a
little kid I wanted to fly. I finally got the chance
on July 4th, 1976, when I went for my first glider ride. I was hooked
.
The following year, I took glider flying lessons every week until I got
my license. While going
through withdrawal symtoms that following winter, I srarted flying
airplanes.
After a few months of working hard, I received my pilot's license for
airplanes in the summer of 1978.
I started my own outdoor advertising business specializing in cold-air
balloons in l986. My balloons were 30' and 40' tall and multi-colored
so that they looked like hot air balloons. After anchoring the balloon
to the roof, I would attach a banner with a message such as, "Grand Opening". The work was
hard and
the hours were long, but I liked being my own boss, so the hours and
difficulty didn't
matter.Things were going along just fine until I suffered a stroke in
October of
1994. Since the stroke, I can no longer work, ski, or fly.
I didn't want
to sit around watching TV all day, then it occured to me that some
people
might be interested in seeing some of my home movies
I only have certain amount of footage that I shot before my stroke, so
I decided to shoot events that might be of interest to people..My hands
shake
and
I can't
walk, so my son Cole, helps me make new movies. We're filming
special
events almost every weekend.
I've also started an
online business since I can't work on my outdoor advertising business
anymore.
I wanted to have some websites as soon as possible and since I'm
a newbie
on the computer, I've joined Niches-in-a-Box where I get 12 to 15
websites per month. Their websites are ready to go and their training
is
superb, so I'm really getting a lot for my investment.
Another valuable resource has been The Newbie Club. The Club has
really helped me learn my way around the computer. I like it because
they explain everything in plain language that's easy for a newbie like
me to understand. It's free to join
and they put out a free newsletter every week that's full of tips for
using my computer.
Once I decided to sell my own movies, I realized that I needed to make
my own websites, so I bought Jim Edward's Mini Site Creator course. I'm
really happy with the course. I'm only half way through it and I've
learned a lot already.
One of the unadvertised bonuses in Jim's course
was Armand Moran's Header Generator. The generator is extremely easy to
use ( As I said, I'm a newbie on the computer ). I'm sure I'll be
buying some more
of Armand's products in the future. I've put a link to his header
generator software on
the left.
Finally, I buy articles for my sites from Article Underground. I get
400 articles every month, but more importantly they have over 30
article announcement blogs that I can announce my articles on each
month and therfore build backlinks and traffic to my sites plus there
are over 70 member-owned blogs where I can do the same thing.
I've found that Niches-in-a-Box and Article Underground are the perfect
compliment to each other when starting a web publishing business.
.
All of my websites are organized into guides. I've listed some of
those guides below.
